Small business TikTok slideshow ideas: 12 posts built from what you already have
Small businesses already hold the material for slideshows: customer messages, the packing table, repair notes and the choices behind a product. This page maps those four sources to twelve ideas, each with a hook line, a slide outline and the material you need, plus a finished care card and a caption.

Where do small business slideshow ideas come from?
Start with what you already own, not with a format. A small business has four sources of material that nobody else has, and each one feeds a type of post.
| Source | Look for | Feeds |
|---|---|---|
| Customer messages | Questions you answered more than once | FAQ posts (ideas 4 to 6) |
| The bench or packing table | Steps you do without thinking | Behind-the-scenes posts (ideas 1 to 3) |
| Returns and repairs | What goes wrong, and why | Care posts (ideas 7 to 9) |
| Your own decisions | Choices about materials, sizes and prices | Choice posts (ideas 10 to 12) |
To mine the first source, do this once:
- Open your message inbox and your order notes.
- Mark every question you answered more than once.
- Write each answer in two sentences, using facts you control, such as delivery times, materials and sizes.
- Give each answer one slide, then add a cover and a closing slide.
- Photograph the answer instead of describing it.
- Put your contact route on the closing slide.
The general method for finding angles is on the idea method page.
What can you show from behind the scenes?
| Idea | Hook line | Slides | You need |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Order to doorstep | "From order to doorstep: the six stops your order makes here" | Cover, one slide per stop (six), a closing question | A photo at each stop |
| 2. The packing table | "What goes in the box, and why" | Cover, one item per slide with its purpose, a slide on packaging materials, a closing question | A photo of an open box |
| 3. The batch I got wrong | "The batch I made wrong, and what I did about it" | Cover, what went wrong, how you noticed, what you did with the batch, what changed in your process | One honest photo, and nothing that blames a customer |
How do you answer the questions customers ask?
| Idea | Hook line | Slides | You need |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4. The most-asked questions | "Your five most-asked questions, answered" | Cover, one question and answer per slide (five), a closing slide inviting new questions | Your inbox |
| 5. Which one fits you? | "Which size should you choose? Three questions" | Cover, three questions, a slide that maps the answers to options, a closing slide | Your size or option chart |
| 6. Custom orders | "Custom orders: what I need from you" | Cover, what you need from the customer (three slides), what happens next, the real turnaround, a closing slide | Your actual process and turnaround |
How do you teach product care?
| Idea | Hook line | Slides | You need |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7. The care card | "How to look after your {product}" | Cover, wash, dry, stains, storage, how to reach you if something is wrong | Care notes from whoever made the product |
| 8. Three ways it gets damaged | "Three ways a {product} gets damaged, and the easy fix for each" | Cover, three damage-and-fix slides, a closing question | Your repair and return notes |
| 9. The repair story | "A {product} came back for repair. Here is what we did" | Cover, the problem, what you did, the repaired result, what to do next time, a closing slide | The owner's permission to show it |
The before-and-after format explains how to keep the repair photos fair.
How do you explain your choices and prices?
| Idea | Hook line | Slides | You need |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10. What is in the price | "What goes into the price of a {product}" | Cover, materials, your time, packaging, overheads, the price | Your own cost sheet; label any example number as an example |
| 11. Why this material | "Why I use {material}, and what I gave up for it" | Cover, the material, what it does well, the trade-off, an alternative you did not choose, a closing question | One honest comparison |
| 12. The tools I would keep | "Five tools I would keep if I had to give up the rest" | Cover, one tool per slide (five), a closing question | A photo of each tool |
A five-tool list needs seven slides: a cover, five tools and a question, as the listicle format works out.
What does a finished care card look like?
This is idea 7 for a fictional linen tea towel. The care steps are an example, so use the notes from whoever made your own product, and do not state anything about safety or durability that you cannot document.

What caption goes with a small business post?
{What the post shows}. {One fact from your own work}.
{A care or order detail the viewer can act on}
Questions? {Where to ask: message, email or shop page}
{Disclosure, if the post is a collaboration or a gift}
{two or three hashtags that name the product}The captions page has more wording to borrow.
What must a small business slideshow leave out?
- Revenue and sales claims. Do not post income figures, growth numbers or "sold out in a day" stories as proof that something works. Nothing on this page makes such a claim either.
- Invented or unshowable reviews. Quote a real customer only with their permission, and say where the quote comes from.
- Fake scarcity. "Only three left" must be true when you post it, and it stops being true as time passes.
- Product claims you cannot document. Words like safe, non-toxic or eco-friendly need proof you can show.
- Other people's faces and homes. Staff, customers and children need clear permission before they appear.
- Comparisons with other shops. "Better than" claims need evidence, and an honest "different from" is safer.
Which tools help a small business batch these posts?
Fyslide keeps briefs for what you promote and lets you organize slideshows by your TikTok or Instagram account, as the products and accounts guide explains. It can also draft slide texts from a topic with the AI you connect, for example a care card for each product line. You check every fact, price and care step before export, because the draft does not know your business.
