The app
What is Fyslide?
Fyslide is a desktop app (macOS, plus a Windows Beta) for making photo slideshows for TikTok and carousels for Instagram. You pick a design, give it a topic, and the AI you connect writes the slide texts. You refine everything in the editor (text, images, stickers, shapes) and export pixel-perfect PNG or JPG slides plus a caption.
Does it run in the cloud?
No. Fyslide runs 100% locally on your computer. Your library, designs and slideshows are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Fyslide on a Mac (%APPDATA%\Fyslide on Windows). The only thing the app sends to us is the license check (see Privacy).
Your AI requests go directly from your computer to the provider you chose, or stay on your computer with Ollama. Nothing runs on Fyslide's servers.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac running macOS (there are separate builds for Apple Silicon and Intel) and Google Chrome installed. Fyslide uses Chrome to render and export your slides. A Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) Beta is also available; see the download page.
Is Windows supported?
There is a Windows Beta for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), next to the Mac app. The installer is built and checked automatically, but not yet tested on real Windows hardware, and it is unsigned until code signing is done. The same license works on either platform, one computer at a time. A few Mac features are not in the Beta yet: background removal, the text-in-image check, AirDrop and HEIC import.
Why does Windows warn me when I open the installer?
The Windows Beta is unsigned until code signing is done, so Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen for new apps from a publisher it does not know. Click More info, check the file name is Fyslide-…-win-x64-beta.exe, then click Run anyway. Download it only from the Fyslide download page.
Does Fyslide post to TikTok or Instagram for me?
No. Fyslide exports your slides (PNG or JPG), the caption and a zip into a folder you choose. You upload them to TikTok or Instagram yourself. Posting from the app (TikTok posts, Instagram carousels) is planned and marked "Coming soon"; it does not work today.
Where do the images come from?
From your own image library: import folders, drag and drop files, or paste from the clipboard, and organize them in collections. You can remove backgrounds locally (Apple Vision). Fyslide can also search Openverse for Creative Commons images, and, optionally, Pinterest inside your own Pinterest login.
For Pinterest you are responsible for following Pinterest's Terms of Service and for having the rights to any image you use. Fyslide grants no rights to images.
Can I make my own designs?
Yes. Fyslide comes with built-in designs, and you can make your own. You can also turn screenshots of slideshows you like into a reusable design with a vision-capable AI.
AI
Which AI can I use?
Bring your own: Claude Code CLI, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Ollama (free, runs locally), an Anthropic API key or an OpenAI API key. API keys are stored encrypted on your computer.
What does the AI cost?
Fyslide does not charge for AI. With an API key, the provider bills you per use. The CLIs (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini) use your existing subscription or account with that provider. Ollama is free and runs on your computer.
Which AI can read screenshots?
Turning screenshots into a design needs a vision-capable AI: Claude Code CLI, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, the Anthropic API, the OpenAI API, or Ollama with a vision model such as qwen2.5vl. Text-only Ollama models cannot read screenshots.
Can Claude Code or Cursor control Fyslide?
Yes. Fyslide includes a local MCP server. Connect Claude Code, Codex or Cursor in one click from the app, then let your agent list designs, create slideshows, edit texts, replace images and export. The app must be running and licensed.
License & purchase
Is the download free?
Yes. Anyone can download the app; it asks for your license key when you first open it. There is no trial mode, so please read the docs and ask us anything before you buy.
How does the license work?
One Lifetime License is a one-time payment for one computer, Mac or Windows. You activate it in the app. To move it to another computer, deactivate the old one in the license portal; you can do that up to 3 times per 12 months. After activation Fyslide works offline.
Why does the price go up?
The price is tiered by license number: $49 for licenses 1–20, $74 for 21–40, $99 for 41–60, $124 for 61–80, and $149 from license 81 on, which is the final price. The pricing page shows the live price and how many are left at it. Your price never changes after you buy.
The price is based on licenses that are actually paid and kept. Free licenses, test purchases and 100%-off promo codes do not count. If a payment is refunded or reversed, that license stops counting, so the price can step back down.
Can I get a refund?
No. All sales are final, except by court order or in special cases at the owner's discretion, and except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Your license key is delivered digitally right after payment; at checkout you agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal. Statutory rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
I lost my license key.
Use the license portal: enter the email you bought with and we send all your keys there again.

Use the bug report form on this site (or the Report a bug button in the app, if your version has it). Tell us what happened, whether you use the Mac app or the Windows app, and your e-mail so we can reply. You can also write to support@fyslide.com.
