Pinterest & image rights

Fyslide can search Pinterest for you. It's optional, it uses your own account, and the responsibility for what you do with the images is yours.

Please read before you use the Pinterest search

  • The Pinterest search is optional. You can use Fyslide fully without it.
  • It runs inside your own Pinterest account, in a separate Google Chrome window that Fyslide opens. You log in there yourself; Fyslide does not receive your Pinterest password.
  • You are responsible for complying with Pinterest’s Terms of Service and for having the rights to any image you use.
  • Fyslide grants no rights to any image found on Pinterest or elsewhere. Finding an image does not mean you may use it.

How it works

When you turn the Pinterest search on, Fyslide opens its own Chrome window. You sign in to Pinterest in that window, and searches you start in Fyslide run there, inside your login. Results you choose are saved to your local image library.

Image rights, plainly

Most images on Pinterest belong to someone else: photographers, artists, brands. Posting them in your slideshows, especially on accounts that earn money, can infringe their copyright and the platforms’ rules. If you are not sure you may use an image, don’t.

Better options

  • Your own images. Photos and graphics you made are the safest choice. Import folders, drag and drop or paste them into your library.
  • Creative Commons images via Openverse. Fyslide can search Openverse for openly licensed images. Check each image’s license (some don’t allow commercial use or changes) and give the attribution it requires, for example in your caption.
  • Images you licensed from a stock provider, within that license.
