• On Creator+ and above it schedules and publishes natively to LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook and Pinterest (up to 10 accounts on Creator+).
• Its TikTok page (opens in a new tab) describes 1080x1920 photo carousels and an animated MP4 export.
• It writes slides, images and captions with several GPT and Claude models, depending on the plan.
• Around the web app it offers a Chrome extension, embed SDK, API, MCP server and CLI, and says paid fees are refundable within seven days.

If those match what you need, you may not need an alternative at all.

Which PostNitro limits might make you look elsewhere?

We did not use reviews. The table lists limits and prices PostNitro prints on its own pages, and the question each one raises for a replacement. Whether a limit matters is up to you. Monthly list prices are Starter $15, Creator+ $30 and Team+ $60; a Black Friday sale showing lower prices was running that day and is not counted.

As of November 2026, TikTok's Creator Academy (opens in a new tab) says a photo post can hold up to 35 images, so the slide caps matter if you make long carousels. How many photos fit in a TikTok slideshow has the source and the reasoning for choosing a count.

Which alternative fits which need?

I want a tool that posts TikTok slideshows

SlideStorm (opens in a new tab) calls itself a scheduler for TikTok, charges in credits and has an API that can post. ReelFarm (opens in a new tab) lists Publish to TikTok on its $49 Growth plan. SlideReels (opens in a new tab) lists direct posting on a single plan shown at $15 a month billed yearly. None of the three states direct Instagram posting: SlideStorm says it has no Instagram export yet, ReelFarm's FAQ says slideshows can be reused on Instagram while the tool publishes to TikTok, and SlideReels does not state it.

I want to pay once or bring my own AI

aiCarousels sells Pro Lifetime (opens in a new tab) at $99, and AI then runs on your own OpenAI key. It posts to LinkedIn only. Fyslide is a desktop app with a one-time license from $49 to $149 by license number (live price on the pricing page), and it works with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Ollama or an API key. Posting is marked Coming soon (included in lifetime access as an update), so today you upload the exported files yourself; the Windows version is a Beta, and there is no trial. I only need the posting step

If you already design elsewhere, you may only need the posting step, and a scheduler covers it. Buffer's help center (opens in a new tab) says up to 10 images per TikTok post. Publer's help article (opens in a new tab) says up to 35 photos. Compare them in the scheduler table.

I post on Instagram and TikTok from one design

Blotato's API FAQ (opens in a new tab) says a list of image URLs posts as a carousel on TikTok or Instagram, and its Starter plan is $29 a month with a 7-day trial that needs a card. Contentdrips (opens in a new tab) and Predis.ai (opens in a new tab) list Instagram and TikTok among their channels, but their pricing pages do not say TikTok photo carousels work. Ask before you pay.

I want a general design tool with a free plan

Canva has a free plan, but its Instagram scheduling needs a paid plan and supports a single image or video only, not carousels (Canva help (opens in a new tab)). Its planner does not list TikTok. The page is a machine-translated German help article, so read it with care.

How do you switch without losing a week?

1. List what you actually used in the last month: publishing, API, brand kit, AI images, MP4 export.
2. Write down your usual slide count and the platforms you post to.
3. Match that list against the table above and the vendor pages, one question at a time.
4. Check the refund rules before you pay: PostNitro says seven days, Blotato says email within 14 days (opens in a new tab), and Fyslide has no trial and all sales are final.
5. Re-make one finished carousel in the new tool before you move the rest.
