TikTok slideshow maker for Windows: your options and the Beta status of ours
On Windows you can use any browser-based slideshow maker, a general design suite with a desktop app, or the Fyslide Windows Beta. As of 5 November 2026 the Beta has not been tested on real Windows hardware, its installer is unsigned, and four Mac features are missing.

What can you use to make TikTok slideshows on Windows?
Three kinds of tools work, and the first needs no installer at all.
| Option | How it runs on Windows | What its page says (as of 5 November 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Browser tools such as ReelFarm (opens in a new tab), SlideReels (opens in a new tab), SlideStorm (opens in a new tab), Blotato (opens in a new tab), PostNitro (opens in a new tab) and aiCarousels (opens in a new tab) | In the browser you already use | Web apps; several list TikTok publishing |
| Canva (opens in a new tab) | In a browser, or as a desktop app | The help-center footer offers desktop apps for Windows and Mac |
| CapCut (opens in a new tab) | In a browser, or as a downloadable app | The pricing (opens in a new tab) and slideshow pages do not name operating systems; the slideshow output is a video |
| Fyslide | Installed desktop app, Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, Beta | Free download, license key at start |
| TikTok Photo Mode | The page we read describes the mobile app only | Part of the mobile app (opens in a new tab); the page does not say whether the website offers it |
If you only need slides and want nothing to install, a browser tool is the simplest start. The maker comparison lists prices and posting features. To move finished slides to TikTok from a computer, see making a slideshow on a PC.
What does Beta mean for the Windows version?
These are the facts as of 5 November 2026, from the FAQ and the download page:
- The installer is built and checked automatically, but it has not been tested on real Windows hardware yet.
- It is unsigned until code signing is done. Windows can show a security warning for unsigned installers, so expect one and follow the steps on the Windows download page.
- It needs Google Chrome installed, because Chrome renders and exports the slides.
- Four Mac features are missing, listed below.
| Feature | Mac | Windows Beta |
|---|---|---|
| Background removal | Yes, local, with Apple Vision | Not available |
| Text-in-image check | Yes | Not available |
| AirDrop | Yes | Not available |
| HEIC import | Yes | Not available |
Those four are the differences we know of. Because the Beta is untested on real hardware, other rough edges may exist. If something breaks, say so on the bug report page.
How do you work around the missing features?
- Background removal. Cut pictures out in another tool first, then import the result as an ordinary picture.
- HEIC import. iPhones can save photos as HEIC. Convert them to JPG or PNG before you import them.
- AirDrop. It is an Apple feature, so on Windows move exported slides by cable or a shared cloud folder.
- Text-in-image check. Read every slide yourself at phone size before you export.
Should you buy a Windows Beta that has no trial?
Weigh this before paying. The download is free, but the app asks for a license key at start. There is no trial mode and no free plan. All sales are final, except by court order, in special cases at the owner's discretion, or where mandatory law provides otherwise.
In our view, the choice depends on your situation:
- Windows is your only computer and you need software you can rely on this week. Start with a browser tool instead. Come back when the Beta has been tested on real hardware.
- You also own a Mac. The same license works on either system, one computer at a time. You can move it by deactivating the old computer, up to 3 times per 12 months.
- You are comfortable with a Beta and want to make slideshows locally. The Windows version is a reasonable thing to try, with the limits above in mind.
The price is a one-time payment tiered by license number, from $49 to $149; the live price is on the pricing page.
How do you set it up on Windows?
- Check that you run Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- Install Google Chrome if it is missing.
- Download the installer from the Windows download page. If Windows warns about an unknown publisher, follow the steps there.
- Enter your license key.
- Connect an AI in the AI setup. Ollama is free and local, and Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI use your own account. See the Ollama guide if you want the local route.
- Make one slideshow and export it. Open the PNG or JPG files and the caption to confirm the pictures and text came out as expected.
- Upload the files to TikTok yourself.
Speed on Windows has not been measured. The only timings, from one Apple M5 Pro Mac, are on the speed page, and Ollama on your own computer explains what changes them.
Does the Windows version work on Windows 11?
The Beta is built for Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. It has not been tested on real Windows hardware yet.
Can the Windows Beta post to TikTok?
No. Posting is marked Coming soon, included in your lifetime access as an update, on every platform. You export PNG or JPG slides and the caption, then upload them yourself.
Can I use one license on a Mac and a Windows PC?
One license covers one computer at a time, Mac or Windows. You can move it with up to 3 deactivations per 12 months.
